Be Efficient

February 21, 2017

Just wanted to share a few tips on how you can make your refrigerator more energy efficient.

Optimal temperature for your refrigerator is 37-38 degrees or mid range if you do not have a numerical display.

Do not let ice build up as that forces your refrigerator to use more energy.

Make sure you have enough space between foods to allow cold air to circulate.

Remove dust from the refrigerator condenser coils to improve circulation.

Vacuum and wipe all door seals for food bits which can cause temp to fluctuate.

Keep an eye out for cracked or damaged door seals and replace when needed.

Leave several inches between the wall and your refrigerator so heat does not get trapped causing your refrigerator to work harder.
